Geocache Description:

In keeping with the theme of the letterbox hybrid, your starting point IS at the posted coordinates but the actual cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. Please read the description below for logging requirements. Hide difficulty is rated 2.5 stars. This one could take you from 5-25 minutes depending on how closely you read the description as well as the time of year you visit.

Numbers. We are fascinated by them. We love to celebrate milestones and goals met of various numbers. One hundred always seems to be a significant number that gives us a sense of accomplishment.

To log a “Found it” for this cache in addition to finding the cache and signing the logbook you must have:

Found one hundred Letterbox Hybrids.

Demonstrate this logging requirement any way you see fit; reference your profile, text in the log, attach an image, create a Bookmark list, etc.

The fun Letterbox Hybrid. Ink all over the place. Too many directions to follow for a smiley? Too confusing? Too hard to remember to leave the stamp in the cache? If you reach the logging requirements for this cache I’m sure you will say “Some of the most fun caches I’ve done have been Letterbox Hybrids”.

Start out at the posted coordinates, use your GPSr and project a waypoint with a bearing of 060° and a distance of 420 feet.

If you've driven around Carmel and used a GPS, you've undoubtedly heard this next phrase. "Take the first exit of the roundabout."

I hope you don't weigh more than 5 tons, because otherwise you'll get wet!

Follow the large cement snake as it winds it's way between the fences on both sides.

Head SOUTH (that's "right" for you directionally challenged cachers!) and follow the snake some more.

Continue past a cement sidewalk, past the trail sign, past the small clearing on your right.

Turn right once you reach the second cement sidewalk.

Turn left onto the road and follow it all the way to the curb.

Continue past the pole (which is along the tree line) to the second evergreen on your right.

Look east toward the football stadium and enter the prairie area between the two bushes You might even see a black nylon rope to guide you.

Go about 10 feet in and then head SSE (right)once you see the stump.

Go about 10 more feet in that direction and then look for a collection of logs on your right. A small lock n lock container is awaiting you at the end of your journey.

If you look west toward the pond, you should be just past the third pine tree.

PLEASE leave the stamp and ink pad in the container as they're not swag to trade out. There's not much room in there for swag, but you might find a few small things. Please don't put anything too large in the container as it will compromise the watertight integrity of the container.
