At only 4.5km from home I was stunned to find this spot! A spot that I have never been to before in all the years I've lived in the ACT. I've been up and down the Murrumbidgee many times, but clearly this spot has always eluded me. Today however - it was mine! Now officially my favourite spot along the Murrumbidgee river! With the river swollen due to recent rain, this was an awesome place. Here the Murrumbidgee enters a very narrow chasm - causing amazing rapids! The sound was incredible.
Please note, this spot may not be accessible when the river is in flood. Additionally - DO NOT APPROACH THIS CACHE FROM THE NORTH of the river here - it is IMPOSSIBLE to cross here due to RAGING torrents and oh, yes - the cliffs!
