Au cœur de Thaon…
Voici le centre ville de Thaon, chargé de son histoire et de celle de ses habitants.
Cette courte Multi vous fera découvrir le cœur de Thaon-les-Vosges, en 4 étapes marquant ses différents points d’intérêts.
Vous remarquerez sans doute (waypoint #1) la fresque couvrant l’ancienne mairie de Thaon, et représentant l’histoire de la naissance de la ville. Vous y reconnaîtrez Lederlin, père fondateur de Thaon-les-Vosges, la Rotonde et la B.T.T. (plus de détails en visitant les caches qui y sont dédiées !)
Ensuite (second waypoint), vous pourrez marcher sur les traces de notre personnage emblématique : la femme à barbe. Vous pourrez lire son histoire sur un petit panneau touristique placé sur la façade qui appartenait jadis à son café.
Le troisième waypoint vous invite à rendre hommage aux thaonnais tombés au combat pour la France, en contemplant leur monument aux morts, dûment fleuri et régulièrement honoré.
Le quatrième et dernier waypoint vous emmène devant l'église Saint-Brice, qui abrite un orgue de fabrication « Kern », acheté par la paroisse en 1975.

The heart of Thaon…
Here is the center of Thaon, displaying the story of the city and its inhabitants.
This short Multi will take you around the heart of Thaon-les-Vosges, throughout four steps showing its main points of interest.
You'll notice (waypoint # 1) the colorful mural covering the former city hall of Thaon, and representing the city’s early story. You will recognize Lederlin, father and founder of Thaon-les-Vosges, the Rotonde and the B.T.T. (you can visit those and log their caches!)
Then (second waypoint), you can walk in the footsteps of our iconic character: the bearded lady. You can read her story (in french) on a small tourist sign placed on the front wall that once belonged to her coffee shop.
The third waypoint invites you to honor the soldiers from Thaon who fell at war for our country. You can contemplate their war memorial, duly flowered and honored on memorial days.
The fourth and final waypoint takes you to the church of Saint-Brice, which houses an organ manufactured by 'Kern', bought by the parish in 1975.
