Zlēku ūdensdzirnavas ir vienas no senākajām ūdensdzirnavām Kurzemē. Tās būvētas 19.gadsimta otrajā pusē. Tās būvētas uz dzirnavupītes, veidojot Dzirnavu ezeru, kas ir 6,8ha liels uzpludinājums. Pati dzirnavupīte līkumus metot ietek Ventā pie tilta, kas atrodas netālu no Ventspils-Kuldīgas šosejas. Iesaku pabrist pa dzirnavupīti uz leju, jo tā ir ļoti gleznaina. Tāpat tur var redzēt nelielas forelītes un bebru darbu procesā. Pašas dzirnavas šobrīd ir darba stāvoklī un pie nepieciešamības tās varētu darboties. Zleku watermill is one of the oldest watermill in Kurzeme. It is built in late 19th century. it is built on little river named by mill- Dzirnavupite, which forms a lake that is 6,8ha large. The river ends in Venta near the bridge that is not far from the Ventspils-Kuldiga road. I recommend you to go downstream the river to enjoy the unharmed nature views. There you might see little fishes or even a beaver in its working proces. Watermill itself is in working shape and if there would be a need it could be restarted. Looking for caches is made easier by given map, where there are noted several points and arrows of which some will be needed to find caches. First picture is located in the circle nr.2 Note: owner is informed about nosy people that might be looking in places where normal tourists dont look. It is forbidden to climb, enter any building without the permission of the owner because it is not necessary to find any of the hiding spots.
