Burton Barr Central Library opened in 1995. It is 280,000 square feet with five stories. It holds over 705,000 items and most of the fifth floor is an open reading area. Did you know it has an amazing kid section with a real garden in an attached outdoor patio? This amazing facility is the perfect place to learn more about nutrition, fitness, healthy recipes, or any other topic to increase your knowledge.

Welcome to our Kohl's Fit GeoTour. We have many caches throughout the Valley of the Sun, creating a family friendly adventure, encouraging fitness and giving you little treasures of knowledge, along the way. While you are traveling through library, be sure to notice the “Crystal Canyon” which is the five-floor glass-and-steel elevator and stairwell. Burton Barr Central Library is open Monday 9a – 5p, Tuesday – Thursday 9a – 9p, Friday and Saturday 9a – 5p, and Sunday 1p – 5p. Log Only/ BYOP.
