This is the first cache hidden in this park, which has a series of unmarked walking trails that will get you in proximity to the cache which will only require a short bushwack towards the water. This park is frequently used by neighborhood dog walkers and we encourage you to bring your pups for a nice walk in the woods (there is even a nice spot nearby where the dogs can swim). You can continue to loop around back to the parking lot with the trail system, many paths will get you back.
Cache is a standard Ammo Can stuffed with swag. Please sign the log. Please re-hide the cache well into its spot to keep it well hidden. We were surprised to find a beautiful mushroom growing right next to where we placed the cache. Enjoy this little Mahopac park!
