Dinger Tor may be small and all but invisible from a distance, but provides some spectacular views over Great Kneeset, the West Okement and Lints Tor. Fur Tor is visible to the south and on a clear day, the view extends to Great Mis Tor and beyond.
Approach is relatively easy using the military "ring road", but be aware that it IS inside the Okehampton range and access will be limited to non-firing times; the timetable can be found here. Warning signals, red flags by day and red lamps by night, indicate that live firing is taking place within the range boundaries, which are marked by red and white poles. When warning signals are displayed do not cross the range boundary.
