REALLY SideTracked - Brynmenyn Junction Multi-cache

A simple multi cache which you should be able to complete within 30 minutes or so. Placed to give you a chance at two awards. The August multi cache and the Side Points 7th Anniversary. Final cache is at N51 33. ABC, W 003 34 XYZ

Brynmenyn Station stood on the branch line from Tondu. There were three lines on this branch. The Ogmore Valley line branched off at Ogmore Junction between Tondu and Brynmenyn whilst the Brynmenyn Junction served lines to Blaengarw and Brynna. The Blaengarw line was opened in 1876 and was closed as late ago as 1997. For that reason most of the line still exists and there is an active preservation society who wish to reopen much of the line. Little is published about the Brynna line, latterly it only served the Wern Tarw colliery and was closed altogether in the early 1960s
