Wintersun je fínska heavymetalová hudobná skupina, ktorú založil bývalý frontman folk metalovej skupiny Ensiferum Jari Mäenpää. Žánrové zaradenie skupiny je problematické, keďže čerpá námet z viacerých podžánrov ako napríklad power metalu, folk metalu, progresívneho metalu, melodického death metalu a melodického black metalu.
Treba si to skrátka vypočuť. Rozhodne to stojí za to !
Umiestnenie tejto kešky je tak ako metal keš Dimmu Borgir situovaná v oblasti mojich obľúbených Súľovských skalách.
V centre obce Súľov je námestie s množstvom parkovacích miest a samozrejme autobusová zastávka. Ku keške sa dostanene priamo odtiaľto ak sa vyberiete po zelenej turistickej značke vedúcej do obce Vrchteplá.
Výstup k samotnej keške vám nezaberie ani polhodinku a je vhodný aj pre deti.
Po tejto trase sme sa vybrali v jeden zimný deň s kamarátom na turistiku. Keďže zelená značka vedie dolinou bez slnka a aktuálne bola celá rozmočená, asi po 500 metroch od štartu z parkoviska v Súľove sme odbočili zo zelenej trasy vľavo na lúku.
Tu je jasne viditeľný cieľ – vrchol kopčeka na ktorý sme vystúpali. Pred nami sa objavila lavička a práve začalo vychádzať slnko. Svoje premrznuté kosti sme na tejto lavičke vystavili zubatým lúčom zimného slnka a vychutnávali si tak nerušené ráno s prekrásnym výhľadom na obec Súľov lemovanú dookola Súľovskými skalami. Vtedy som sa rozhodol, že sa o toto pekné miesto podelím umiestnením geoskrýše v jej blízkosti, ktorá dostala meno WINTERSUN.

So, why Wintersun?
Wintersun is finnish heavy metal band formed by ex frontman of folk metal band Ensiferum, Jari Mäenpää.
Genre specification of this band is problematic because they use many different subgenres, for example power metal, folk metal, progressive metal, melodic death metal and melodic black metal.
You just have to listen to it. It’s worth it!
Location of this cache is situated in my favourite Súľovské skaly just like my other metal cache Dimmu Borgir.
In the centre of village Súľov is square with a lot of parking places and with bus stop. You can get to the cache right from there by picking the green tourist trail which is going to village Vrchteplá.
Climb to the cache takes up to half an hour and it is suitable for children as well.
We went to this trail on one winter day with my friend. The green trail goes through the valley without sun and it was totally wet, aproximately after 500 metres from park place, we turned from green trail to the meadow on the left side. Goal of our mission is clearly visible from here – the top of the hill which we climbed. In front of us appeared a bench and the sun started to rise. The winter sun defrosted our cold bones and we enjoyed the calm morning with beautiful view of village Súľov surrounded by Súľovské skaly. That day I decided that I want to share this beautiful place with people and I put the cache named WINTERSUN there.
