Geocache Description:

A straightforward offset-cache based at the church in Higher Porthpean. If visiting by car, please park responsibly and do not park in the private square opposite the church.
The cache is not located within the church grounds.

What to do
The headline co-ords are for the start point – The benches just inside the church yard. Take a seat and work out the answers to get the coords.

 The number of vertical green planks that have been used to make the front door to the church = B

The number of shield-shaped carved stone panels between the arched entrances to the porch = C

About the Church
The Church of St. Levan's at Higher Porthpean was built in 1885. Its construction was funded by Lady Graves-Sawle (owner of the Penrice Estate) at a cost of £1,000. Following the death of Mrs Cobbold Sawle, (the last Sawle in the family), the building was given by the Trustees to St Austell Parish in 1981. The Church and Sunday School Room are the only community buildings in the village of Porthpean, and so provide a valuable resource for local people.
