So sweetbyby and I decided to make a celebration cache for our 7th anniversary. We researched quite a few locations, from the place where we took the first walk in Oulu to places we walked by on our way for other geocaches.
We've agreed that, for us Oulu is a bit of holiday oasis, where we can enjoy the 24 hours of daylight (and complain that it's too bright and we can't sleep), or it's (incredibly) warm (for this part of the world), or the thunderstorms are bombing the sky, or it gets incredibly cold (at least for sweetbyby) and dark... or as sweetbyby likes, snow covers everything and there's just a big snow sea.
Around the cache there's the market place in Oulu, where one can sip a beer and/or cider in one of the terraces, or bring their own and sit on the harbour with a bunch of friends and enjoy the sun and the breeze. One can walk around and see the theater or the library or cross one of the bridges, get to one of the islands and enjoy a long walk in the evening.
And to spoil everyone, close to the cache there's a nice place for some water-ish sports activities.
A little bit about the cache: on the container there are 24 stars... guess from where we got that ideas? :-) Inside the cache: plenty of logbooks and a pencil (please leave it there).
