Läheinen metsälampi on syntynyt ihmisen työn tuloksena. Alueelta on aikoinaan etsitty malmia ja kaivettu soraa. Luonto on hienosti vallanut alueen takaisin ja lammessa pesii kesäisin vesilintuja. Talvella lampea käytetään luonnon luistinratana. Lampi on osa Espoon keskuspuistoa.
This forest pond is not a natural one, it is a result of man`s work. Long time ago it was tried to find ore from this forest. In summertime there are a lot of birds in the pond. In winter it is possible to skate on the pond. This area belongs to Espoo Centralpark.

It is easy to come by a car via Malminmentie. You can leave your car at the end of the street and walk.
