On a clear day, you can see lovely Exmoor in the distance, from The Chains To Dunkery Beacon. That was the view on the day cache was placed, no doubt there will be a lot of visitors here in normal Dartmoor weather when you will be able to see...nothing! Nearby point of interest.. up hill from here, look for the small plaque on the gate where the bridleway leaves the downs.
