[FR/EN] MOULIN DE PERRION #1 Traditional Geocache

Le point de départ se fait à l’entrée de la petite route qui conduit au moulin de Perrion où vous pourrez stationner.
Sur la commune d’Esvres, l’Echandon et l’Indre sont des cours d’eau sur lesquels furent exploités pendant plusieurs siècles de nombreux moulins.
Leur fonctionnement était simple : le courant du cours d’eau entrainait une roue à aubes par sa partie inférieure qui faisait fonctionner une meule permettant de moudre environ 150 Kg de blé à l’heure.
La Touraine recensait au début du XIXème siècle 798 moulins à eau et 58 à vent.

The departure is at the entrance to the small road that leads to the Perrion's mill where you can park your car.
In the town of Esvres, the "Echandon" and the "Indre" are two rivers on which many mills were operated for several centuries.
Their operation was simple: the current of the river drove a paddle wheel through which operated a millstone allowing to grind about 150 kg of wheat per hour.
