You cannot use any cache that you have used to qualify for any of the other Anglo-French or Euro Relations Challenges, however the Regions can be the same as the other challenges. Therefore if you want to claim all four challenges you will have to have found 62 (31 British and 31 European) caches, but they only need to be spread across 30 Regions (15 British and 15 European). Ye Ole Survey Monument, Cuckoo Cache and any other roaming cache finds do not count.
Update 2/4/18: There are checkers available for this series of Challenges on Project GC which you are welcome to use BUT please be aware that those checkers were not written for these Challenges and are not sanctioned by the cache owners because they do not adhere to the rules of the Challenges as noted above – eg they may include roaming caches, and if you are checking several of the Challenges they might re-use the same cache for more than one Challenge. IF YOU USE THE CHECKERS please be aware of this and look at the qualification caches they list to make sure they all follow the rules. Amend the list manually if any don’t. Until now, we’ve been fairly lenient as we know that the checkers don’t work properly, and we have been manually checking the profiles of those logging Finds if they have used the checkers and listed caches that aren’t allowed. As of today we will no longer be doing this. If you copy and paste inadmissible caches into your log you will be asked to provide further evidence of your qualification and if you are unable to do so or do not respond to the request within a week your log will be deleted. Obviously you may change a Found It to a Write Note if the paper log has been signed and you then discover that you don’t qualify because the checker was wrong.
Further update 29/8/2020: We have become aware that the Regions of France have changed and we have therefore amended the below list of French Regions. Anyone who previously qualified for this Challenge, but now doesn't because of these changes will be allowed to log the cache if they can evidence their previous qualification ie can show they qualified using the previous list of 22 Regions. There have also been various comments made both in the cache logs and private messages regarding the inclusion of Irish Regions and the Channel Islands. Both these areas are part of the British Isles, although we recognise that they are not part of the UK or Great Britain, and we previously chose to include them to get a certain equity between the number of British and French Regions (21 and 22 respectively). Although with much fewer French Regions this equity no longer exists, we do not feel we can now remove the Irish and CI ones as this will cause even more problems for some to maintain qualification.
We are happy to clarify or answer questions on qualification if this is confusing.
