Alvorge é uma freguesia portuguesa do concelho de Ansião e paróquia da Diocese de Coimbra, com 39,05 km² de área e 1 227 habitantes (2011)Densidade: 31,4 hab/km².
Uma das freguesias a que o povo atribui o título de Vila e que passou por vários concelhos, entre os quais o do Rabaçal, antes de se integrar no de Ansião.
Esta Paróquia pertenceu à Universidade de Coimbra durante vários séculos.
Trata-se de um exemplar de povoamento rural agrupado, no cimo do Monte, onde a antiga Matriz, continua a ser uma preciosidade artística, com o santo padroeiro (São Martinho) materializado numa estátua em pedra, de finais da Idade Média.
Merece igualmente ser visitado o centro urbano do Alvorge, onde se inclui a Capela da Misericórdia. Trata-se de um edifício barroco, anexo ao antigo Hospital da Vila, em cuja fachada se pode ver o brasão régio. No seu interior merece especial destaque o Altar-Mor, em talha dourada, do séc. XVIII.
Na mesma Rua há outros edifícios com séculos de existência, merecendo mais atenção, a Casa Alpendrada que foi doada à Santa Casa da Misericórdia local.
Também a Igreja Matriz de Alvorge, de finais do século XVII, dedicada a Nossa Senhora da Conceição, merece ser apreciada. Tem um Altar em talha seiscentista com colunas salomónicas e arco recamado de figuras de anjos, parras e cachos de uvas.
O monumento mais antigo, está em ruínas – é a Torre de defesa da Fonte do Alvorge. Para além de proteger a fonte, era também um importante equipamento militar de defesa da Ladeia, particularmente relevante no contexto da Reconquista Cristã, quando estava em causa a defesa da importantíssima cidade de Coimbra.
A cache: a cache encontra-se na entrada sul do alvorge em pleno Caminho de Santiago de Compostela num local recentemente recuperado e inaugurado a 06JUL2014 pelo Presidente da Camara Municipal Dr. Rui Rocha.

One of the parishes to which the people attributed the title of Villa that spanned several counties, including the Rabaçal before they integrate into the Ansiao.
This parish belonged to the University of Coimbra for several centuries.
This is a copy of clustered rural settlement, atop Mt, where ancient mother, remains an artistic gem, with patron saint (Saint Martin) materialized in a stone statue of the late Middle Ages.
Also deserves a visit Alvorge urban center, which includes the Chapel of Mercy. It is a baroque building, attached to the old Hospital of the Village, in whose facade you can see the royal arms. Inside deserves special mention the high altar in gilt, century. XVIII.
On the same street there are other buildings with centuries of existence, deserving more attention, the House porch that was donated to the Holy House of Mercy location.
Also the Church of Alvorge from the late seventeenth century, dedicated to Our Lady of Conception, deserves to be appreciated. Have an Altar in seventeenth hoist with twisted columns and racemate arc figures of angels, vines and bunches of grapes.
The oldest monument is in ruins - Tower defense is the Source of Alvorge. In addition to protecting the source, was also an important, particularly relevant in the context of the Christian Reconquista military equipment for defense of Ladeia when the issue was the defense of the important city of Coimbra.
