Found this on a few people's lists and did a little checking: (as of 2/2012) 12th oldest in the state of Washington, 12 out of 26,046 = oldest 0.0005% 32nd oldest in the NATION 32nd oldest in the WORLD, 32 out of 1,652,802 = 0.00001936% Sunnyside Beach Park is a great beach to visit in this cute town. This beach has great sand and a big climbing toy so don't forget the kids and the sand toys for this one. There are lots of little crabs in the rocks so bring a bucket.
This one is a beach walk with some minor billy goat skills needed at the end. It seems to be inaccesible at high tide. I never walked along the train tracks to get to the site and would definitely warn against this. DO NOT WALK ON THE TRACKS to get this. This stash is in a tupperware type container.
The parking area says to pay $5 but I have yet to pay or get a ticket. I figure the ticket I someday may get will still leave me shelling out less than I would if I paid each time I came. $5 for parking???!!! Come on, Steilacoom!! When the warm summer days hit more people start hanging out there and someone does seem to check the fees.
When you are all done head up to the pub for some beer and a sandwich.
