St Andrew's Church is situated in the village of Haughton-le-Skerne which has been swallowed and is now a subburb of Darlington. The church originates from circa 1125 although some of the stone used is thought to have been recycled from older churches on the site.
The church building consists of west tower, aisleless nave with south porch and transepts, and chancel with vestry and organ chamber on the north.
