Moi aussi, comme tous les enfants du quartier, quand j'étais petit je faisais coucou au métro depuis cette passerelle. La tradition n'a pas changé et les parents passent toujours avec leurs enfants pour un petit salut aux rames qui s'arrêtent à la station.
C'est l'occasion d'un hommage aux autres coucou de la capitale :
Toute proche, la station de métro Saint-Jacques a quelques attraits. On y accède par un pavillon de métal et de briques d'inspiration Arts Nouveaux, orné de panneaux émaillés et édifié par la Compagnie Garreta (et non par H.Guimard, en conflit avec la CMP à l'époque). La station est construite en tranchée ouverte avec des murs en pierre meulière, pas courant mais bien dans le style de l'époque de la construction en 1906.
C'est ici le début de la partie découverte de la ligne 6 vers place d'Italie. Moins insérée dans les immeubles qu'à l'Ouest vers Passy, le voyage est très aérien et souvent arboré.
A noter : le parcours en viaduc, suspendu au dessus de la dépression de la Bièvre (entre Glacière et Corvisart), dessert plusieurs caches de cette partie de la capitale ^^
