St. Hugh's Church is a modern building, built in 1969 and combines beauty and simplicity. The windows are from the former church of St. Peter-in-the-Bail, Lincoln. It is one of two Anglican churches in the parish of North Hykeham, the other one being the much older and more traditional All Saints. As the original village of North Hykeham grew and sprawled out from the original village centre, it was felt that a church was needed to serve the rapidly expanding population in this estate and elsewhere, as All Saints' Church became geographically marginalised. So therefore we have a single parish with two parish churches. Along with St Michael's at South Hykeham they form the united parish of Hykeham. Like many churches of its age it provides multi-purpose facilities and blends in with the surrounding housing.
