Geocache Description:

Christ Church Hanham is a C of E Church built in 1840-41

You are looking for a small bison container No pen in cache please BYO

CONGRATULATIONS TO windynicholls and Hanhamite on being FTF

There is no need to enter the church ground to find this cache

Christ Church Hanham is a Church of England Church and was built during 1840 – 41 by Thomas Foster & Son for the Rev H T Ellacombe

On 28th February 1840 his daughter Jane Isabella Ellacombe, celebrated her 21st Birthday by laying the foundation stone of the Church in the south-west corner

On 18th October 1842 the church was consecrated by the Right Rev Dr Monk, Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol

A new chancel, vestry and an organ chamber was installed in 1891 by Rev Wm. Fry
