Abris n°1
L’abri de combat N°1 est construit en 1899 à 207 mètres d’altitude, en avant de l’ouvrage du Mordant dans le secteur nord-est de la place de Toul.
Sa capacité est de 24 places couchées pour héberger les troupes d’infanterie des intervalles du secteur et de l’ouvrage de Villey Saint Etienne qui est placé juste en avant de l’abri. Un projet de 1914 prévoyait de réaménager l’intérieur de l’abri pour lui permettre de recevoir 104 places couchées.
Il possède un puits à proximité qui lui permet son alimentation en eau.
