Esta costa da Península de Setúbal é praticamente composta por falésias de arenito desde a Caparica até à Praia das Bicas, com a interrupção natural pelo meio da Lagoa de Albufeira. São vestígios de outras tempos em que o mar embatia, tendo-as moldado inicialmente. No entanto, desde então o nível do mar recuou (mas vai regressar em breve...) e a erosão continental subistituiu a marítima. No entanto, esta erosão continental tem como aspecto mais peculiar de permitir o aparecimento de formas mais esculturais no aspecto das falésias, devido ao processo de escoamento das águas pluviais.
This Setúbal peninsula coast is mostly composed of sandstone cliffs from Caparica to the Praia das Bicas, with the natural interruption through the Lagoa de Albufeira. Are traces of other times when the sea embatia, having them framed initially. However, since sea levels retreated (but will return soon ...) and replaced the maritime continental erosion. Setúbal Halbinsel Küste besteht hauptsächlich aus Sandsteinfelsen von Caparica entfernt an der Praia Das Bicas, mit der natürliche Unterbrechung durch den Lagoa de Albufeira. Sind Spuren von anderen Zeiten, in denen das Meer Embatia, haben sie zunächst umrahmt. Da Meer Ebenen zurückgezogen (aber kehren bald...) und ersetzt die maritime kontinentale Erosion. Allerdings hat diese kontinentale Erosion als die besonderen Aspekt um die Darstellung der skulpturale Formen in der Aspekt der Klippen durch Regenwasser Abfluss Prozess zu ermöglichen.
