Although formed in 1795, Thyatira Presbyterian Church had several locations before moving to its current site in 1851. It is the second oldest church in Jackson County. In the late 1880s the Athens Presbytery felt the church was strong enough to divide and in 1887 members living close to Jefferson organized the Jefferson Presbyterian Church.

This is one of the few wooded TP302 GZ's. Muggle activity should be at a minimum here in this beautiful area of old growth hardwoods. Also it is worth mentioning that this cache is not overly hard. As a point of reference, we'd argue that you won't even use your gps after you enter the woods.
Be on the lookout for the guardian of the forest, as he has been tasked not only with protecting the forest creatures, but also as the keeper of the log. Be warned though, it has been spoken that he will only appear to children or those who are pure at heart.
