Geocache Description:

Established in 1914 as soon as first world war started and finished in 1915 with two 6 inch QF guns. the battery was built on the crest of Wardija ridge therefore, being naturally protected, it was not considered necessary to surround the work by any permanent fortifications. Its role was taken over by fort Campbell in Selmun. During World War 2, a radar set of the gun laying series (GL) was established on the site of Wardija Battery.

The cache should be fairly easy to find and provides a nice view from the top. View from the cache in daylight: Those with offroading capable vehicles could probably drive all the way in but not recommended for those with normal cars.
