Geocache Description:

Originally set by McDehack, then enhanced by Master Mariner.

The London Rainbow Cache series comprises seven virtual caches that can be logged individually. Information obtained from each cache can then be used to find an eighth, physical cache.

The London Rainbow Cache 1 - Red

This is the first of seven virtual caches each of which has a connection to the colours of the rainbow. The sites, for all the virtual caches, are a little bit off the well beaten tourist tracks but take the visitor to interesting places, in and around London, that would not normally be seen.

The caches can be done in any order but information will need to be collected from all the caches to help find the final cache.

Not far from this coloured place lived a well known doctor of literature. The location is well sign posted. From the co-ordinates, follow this coloured beast north for about 100m. Then turn right and walk about 45m. Turn right again, walk through the arch and then a couple of dozen paces south and the information you require is to be found on your right.

To claim this as a find please post (NOT EMAIL as it fills my inbox) a photo of EACH person logging (within 24 hours - if you can't upload a picture when you are logging, then please don't log till you can or post a note in the meantime) with your GPSr at the location (WITHOUT REVEALING ANY OF THE ANSWERS) AND using the below answers, send a blank email to forenamesurnameborndied@howeasy.org (eg donaldduck19022002@howeasy.org). Make sure you include your caching name (eg rodz) as the subject of the mail or your log may be deleted. You will receive a confirmation email (remember to check your spam folder too) almost instantly if your answers are correct, at which time you may log your find.
