The 6 Turtles cache was placed on a 8 mile trail hiking loop, starting at the barrier in Germia and running North into the hills. The trail never comes into Germia. The GPS track can be found here: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/508863997.
Some images of the trail and cache can be seen here: http://brianpinkowski.tumblr.com
The trail is moderately difficult in terms of elevation gain and distance, but the views and opportunitity to explore outside of the usual Germia Park area are worth the effort.
There is a part of the trail that wanders near a farmhouse with 6 really large and fiesty Shar Mountain dogs. The dogs are no trouble as long as you 1. walk outside the farmhouse fence, or 2. talk with the land owner. The family are very charming but don't speak much English. But if you like really big dogs, these are great.
Addtionally, we found 6 box turtles along the trail and some fun salamanders, if you like that sort of thing. Depending on the time of year, you will also be given a fantastic display of wildflowers.
The 6 Turtles Geocache is a traditional cache in a smallish vitamin bottle. The cache initially contains a shell casing, a 1 cent coint and 1 Sudanese Pound along with a small notebook and writing tool. (It's not fair to call it a pen, its just the cartridge.)
Good hunting.
