Rezekne Culture House has ancient and rich history. In 1925 in Rezekne the Latvian Society “Tautas pils” has been founded and its members started to run the building in the place where there is the present Rezekne Culture House. From 1928 to 1929 the building had been renovated by the sketches of architect Pavlov. The remarkable theatre directors, actors and artists as well as lifelong theatre director Antons Varslavāns worked there.
