....is an English idiom asking people what their thoughts were on an issue being discussed but no payment changed hands. The PENNY has been around for a long time in different metals and shapes with the first Canadian coin being minted in 1858. Production of the copper PENNY ceased in May, 2012 and the Royal Canadian Mint ceased the distribution of them as of Feb.4, 2013 but it is still legal tender. This was due to the coin costing more to make (1.6 cents) than it was worth. I heard this expression alot growing up and I always thought that my thoughts were worth at least two cents.
Please take a PENNY for good luck and there is a theme related item for the FTF. I'm also starting a TB (My travelling two cents) on it's journey to other PENNY themed caches. If you know any other idioms that have PENNY in the title, mention it in your log.
