Cite de Niger Traditional Geocache

The City of Bamako and the country of Mali for sure needs more caches. By putting this one up the number of traditional caches in Bamako has increased by 100%.  We hope there will be more to follow!

The part of Bamako called Cite de Niger is just by the River Niger and is a very beutiful location. While at the site, do not miss the oppertunity to have s look at the River Niger. It can be really nice during sunset.

The place of the hide is frequently visited by locals, i.e. Mugglers. Be also aware that many of the compounds in the area are guarded by security guards. Please be VERY careful when looking around for the cach. And remember that if you are not looking like the locals, you will always be dragd attention. We strongly recommend that you only seek for the cach during day light hours.

The field around the cach site has a barbed wire perimiter. It is possible to enter the fence at the North West corner where you can find a small white buildning. Enter carefully.

Please restore the cach in the same way you found it. Make sure that the container is unvisible and properly closed when you leave.
