The fifth and final cache in the Oxford Steganography Series. The cache is not at the published coordinates (it's less than 500m away). You will first need to print out the bonus puzzle sheet (link below: please read disclaimer first!) and take it with you to each of the four other geocaches in the series. Only then will you have the coordinates needed to find this cache!
This is it: the final challenge in the Oxford Steganography Series! Just to recap, here's what you've had to do to get this far:
- Print out the bonus puzzle sheet [PDF]
Alert: You are about to download a file that contains further details needed to find the secret bonus geocache. As the cache owner, I represent that this file is safe to download although it has not been checked by Groundspeak or by the reviewer for possible malicious content. Download this file at your own risk.
- Solve the puzzles to find the coordinates of the four other caches in the series: GC54F78, GC54F7B, GC54F7J, and GC54F7N.
- Visit each of the four other caches and find inside them the plastic key: overlay the plastic key over the puzzle sheet to get four different numbers (here's a video of how it works).
- Put the four numbers into the supporting website to get the coordinates of the cache!
If you haven't done those things yet, then you won't be able to find the coordinates of this geocache! And without the coordinates, the chance of you finding it are very, very slim!
Assuming you've done all that, this cache shouldn't be too hard to locate. It's in a very publicly-visible location with access routes in several directions, so stealth will be required. Stealth will be easier at night, but locating the cache's hiding place will be easier during the day: it's up to you.
Cache is small and only holds a log - be sure to bring your own writing equipment!. Size is comparable to a 35mm film cannister, but that's not what it is.
