PLEASE NOTE - There is a small amount of barbed wire in the vacinity of the cache, be sure to take care when retrieving and replacing the container. You are looking for a regular sized camouflaged cylindrical Container.
The river Colne runs from its source in North Mimms and travels through Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Greater London and Surrey on its way to The River Thames. Just prior to the point at which you now find it, it is joined by the River Ver and as it flows through the valley floor here marks a boundary line between Wall Hall and the Munden Estate to the North West. At the point at which you joined crab lane you will have noticed the footbridge over the dried up stream and then the flat field leading to the footbridge over the Colne. In times of excess rainfall such as those in Winter 2013/14, the Colne can bursts it banks here and turn the field into an enormous lake presenting the rather strange view of the two footbridges on either side of the field seemingly disappearing into the depths of the water. From here the river continues under the M1 motorway and south through Watford on its way to the Thames.
... to get to the next cache in the series, continue along crab lane until you reach the Pumping station on your right, where you will be very close to Moosey's Trail 24.Then turn left and follow the footpath up the hill, crossing over Otterspool lane and then onto the bridleway. Pretend you are Julie Andrews and as you finally crest the hill give the world your best rendition of "The Hills are alive with the sound of music".
