CZ MeetFactory
Meetfactory je tak trochu hipsterske misto kulturniho setkavani na Smichove vedle vlakovych koleji. Je zde venkovni galerie Zed, koncertni sal, divadelni sal, galerie MeetFactory, mala galerie Kostka a bar. Kolem vede cyklostezka a v lete je mozne zajit sem do letniho kina. Lze se tu posadit (a je to doporuceno) a chvilku se kochat zvlastni atmosferou mista mezi zeleznici a dalnici...
MeetFactory je neziskove mezinarodni centrum soucasneho umeni. Jeho poslanim je iniciovat dialog mezi jednotlivymi zanry a zpristupnovat deni na soucasne umelecke scene nejsirsi verejnosti. Podporuje originalni projekty v oblasti vytvarneho umeni, divadla a hudby, stejne jako interdisciplinarni a experimentalni platformy. Usiluje o vytvoreni prostoru pro zive umeni, kde jsou umelci pritomni. Umoznuje tak primy kontakt mezi mezinarodnimi umelci a navstevniky, ale take mezi zastupci ruznych, nejen umeleckych, oboru a generaci.
Historie budovy
Puvodne tovarna na vyrobu skla, postavena ve 20. letech minuleho stoleti, slouzila jako jedna z poslednich budov firmy Inwald, ktera v Praze pusobila od roku 1878. Provoz vyroby brouseneho skla a posleze i znamych sklenicek Durit byl ukoncen roku 1935. Az do prelomu 40. a 50. let tovarnu uzivala k vyrobe dieselovych motoru firma Skoda, nasledne tovarna presla do spravy ceskoslovenskych zeleznic. V 90. letech byla budova zcela opustena, jen kratce slouzila jako zazemi pro delniky pri stavbe tunelu Mrazovka.

Meetfactory is a little arty place of cultural meetings at Smichov next to railway. There is outdoor gallery Zed (Wall), concert hall, theatre, gallery MeetFactory, small gallery Kostka (Cube) and a bar. Bicycle path goes around and there is opportunity to come to outdoor cinema in summer. It is possible (and recommended) to sit here for a moment and enjoy the special atmosphere of the place between railway and highway...
MeetFactory is a non-for-profit international center for contemporary art. Its mission is to foster a dialogue between individual genres and make current happenings on the art scene accessible to the widest public. It supports original projects in the fields of visual arts, theater and music as well as interdisciplinary and experimental platforms. It aims to create a space where art is alive and artists are present, enhancing a direct exchange between international artists and visitors, as well as between different fields and generations.
History of the building 
The company Inwald (which started operating in Prague in 1878) erected the building as one of the last of their glasswork factories in the 1920s. The production line of cut glass, including the popular Durit glasses, closed down in 1935. The building was then used for the manufacturing of diesel engines by the company Skoda until the late 1940s. At that time the building was taken over by Czechoslovak railways. During the 1990s, the building was deserted, except for a short spell when it was used as accommodation for construction workers working on the Mrazovka tunnel project.
