Geocache Description:

An easy stroll through the Onslow Village Arboretum, then a dash through the tall grass.

This small arboretum sits in a corner of Onslow Village, off the recreation ground. There's parking nearby at the tennis club, and you could use this as a base for doing other caches up on the Hogs Back. The arboretum has a theme: trees from around the world. It's about six years old now, and some of the specimens are beginning to look good.

The cache is a medium-sized plastic box containing:

  • Log book and disposable camera
  • Small atlas
  • Window on the Universe CD ROM set
  • Two flourescent gel pens
  • Face paint crayons
  • Balloons
  • Wooden necklace from Tanzania
  • Map of Swinley Forest
