L'église baroque de l'hôpital du Val de Grâce a été conçue par 5 architectes dont Mansart en 1645. Elle fut construite suite à un vœu d'Anne d'Autriche, femme de Louis XIII, pour la naissance de Louis XIV. Si vous pouvez y entrer (aux horaires du musée), ne manquez pas le baldaquin très kitch et l'orgue de renom : un Cavaillé-Coll de 1853.
Autour de l'église, l'ancienne abbaye désaffectée sous la révolution, devient un hôpital militaire en 1793. Elle est aujourd'hui occupée par la bibliothèque et le musée du service de santé des armées (ouvert mardi, mercredi et le we de 12h à 18h). L'actuel hôpital occupe pour sa part l'ancien potager de l'abbaye.
Près de la place Alphonse Laveran se trouve un immeuble avec un petit jardin, datant du 17e siècle. Il est occupé par la Paris American Academy qui dispense des cours de mode et d'architecture intérieure depuis une 50 aine d'années. Entrez sous le porche et faites quelques pas pour admirer les lieux et plonger dans l'ambiance du Paris ancien avec sa rue aux pavés inégaux.

During the revolution, the Ancient abbey, near the church, became a military hospital in 1793. It is now occupied by the library and the Military Health Service museum (open Tuesday, Wednesday and week-ends from 12:00 to 18:00 ). The current hospital occupies the former garden of the abbey.
Near thePlace Alphonse Laveran (Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1907), there is a nice building with a small garden dating from the 17th century. It is occupied by the "Paris American Academy", which has offered courses in fashion and interior design for about 50 years. Enter under the porch and walk around to admire the scene and plunge into the atmosphere of old Paris with its paved streets.
