Na avtocesti A1 izberete izvoz »Šentrupert« in vas nato table »Logarska dolina« usmerjajo vse do začetka doline.

Ko prispete do križišča »Matkov kot« ravno in »Logarska dolina« levo ste že pred vstopom v dolino. Za nadaljevanje vožnje po dolini nadaljujte levo. Takoj za križiščem se nahajata dve majhni leseni baraki. Druga lesena baraka je info točka na kateri se pobira VSTOPNINA za vozila v Logarsko dolino. Cena za osebni avtomobil znaša 7€.

Predlagam vam, da parkirate vaše vozilo izven same dolin in vstopite peš. Tak način je okolju veliko bolj prijazen, dolina vas bo veliko bolj očarala in še prihranili boste vstopnino. Parkirate lahko na dveh mestih pred vstopom:

  1. 400m pred križiščem za vstop v Logarsko dolini na parkirišču na levi.
  2. Na križišču peljete naravnost proti Matkovem kotu in po 50m je cerkvica s parkiriščem.

Po parkiranju pojdite do vstopne točke, kjer lahko vzamete priročen letak o dolini. Od tam naprej vas čaka točno 950m hoje po cesti. Po prehojenih 950 metrov se boste našli pred mostom in boste na desni strani opazili tablo »Pot po LOGARSKI«. Gre za lahko pohodno pot po kateri morate prehoditi okrog 700m. Vaš cilj je velik travnik z informativno tablo o gorskih vrhovih. Od table nadaljujte skrajno levo ob električnem pastirju, dokler ne prispete do klopce.

 

OPIS

Logarska dolina se nahaja v središču Savinjskih Alp in velja za eno najlepših ledeniških dolin v Evropi. Dolino je ustvaril ledenik v zadnji ledeni dobi. Dolina je bila poseljena že v 13. stoletju, cesta pa je bila zgrajena šele leta 1930. Logarska dolina je dolga 7 km in se deli v tri dele, ki so spodnji travnati Log, srednji gozdnati Plest in zgornji gruščnati del Kot. Nad Kotom se dviguje ledeniška krnica Okrešelj. Po Logarski dolini vodi naravoslovno etnografska pot, ki je opremljena s številnimi informativnimi tablami. Naravne znamenitosti v dolini so slap Rinka, slap Palenk, Rastovški slap, Logarjeva lipa, Plesnikov brest, Okrešelj, izvir Črne, ki je drugi izvir Savinje in drugo. Slap Rinka je visok 90 metrov in spada med ene najvišjih prosto padajočih slapov pri nas. Logarjeva lipa predstavlja simbol pogleda na Logarsko dolino. Kulturne znamenitosti v dolini so dom duhovnih vaj, kapela Kristusa Kralja, olcarska bajta, lesena riža, Podbrežnikova kapela in drugo. Logarska dolina je izhodišče za številne planinske izlete na vrhove Savinjskih Alp. Zaradi mnogih naravnih lepot je bila Logarska dolina leta 1987 razglašena za krajinski park. Iz Logarske doline se lahko podamo tudi v sosednji ledeniški dolini, ki sta Robanov in Matkov kot.

You chose exit ˝Šentrupert˝ on the highway A1 and then follow the signs ˝Logarska dolina˝ all the way to the start of the valley.

When you reach the crossroad for ˝Matkov kot˝ and ˝Logarska dolina˝ you stand before the entrance of the valley. You take a turn left and after you come to the two wooden cabins, of which the second one is a info point where the entrance fee for vehicles is taken. The price for cars is 7€ per car.

I strongly suggest that you park your vehicle in front of the entrance of the valley and continue into it by foot. This way you are being environmentally friendly, you have more chances to be amazed by the valley, plus you will save on the fee. You can park on two places:

  1. 400m in front of the crossroad for the entrance into the valley on the parking lot on the left side.
  2. You keep driving straight forward at the crossroad towards ˝Matkov vrh˝ and after 50m you come to the church with a parking lot

After you have parked your vehicle, go to the access  point, where you can get some information about the valley. From there on an exactly 950m walk down the road awaits you. After you have walked this distance, you will find yourself in front of a bridge and on the right side of it, you will se a sign saying: ˝Pot po Logarski˝. It is signaling a walking way, which continues for700m. Your destination is a big meadow with a information board about mountain peaks. From the board continue on the far left by the electrical fence, until you come to the bench.

 

DESCRIBTION

The Logar valley is situated in the center of the Savinja alps and is believed to be one of the most beautiful glacier valleys in Europe. The valley has been created by a glacier in the last ice age. The valley has been first populated in the 13. century AC, but the first road was not built until 1930. Logar valley  in 7km long and is divided into three parts: The lower part is named Log, the middle part Plest or Plestje, and the upper part Kot (literally 'cirque') or Ogradec. Above Kot rises a cirque Okrešelj. Through the valley leads a natural scientific-ethnographic way, which is equipped with information boards. Natural attractions in the valley are Rinka waterfall, Palenk waterfall, Rastovški slap, Logar linden, Plesnik elm, Okrešelj, Črna spring which is the second spring of Savinja and other things. Rinka waterfall is 90m high and is considered one of the highest free falling waterfalls in Slovenia. Logar linden symbolizes the view on the Logar valley. Cultural attractions in the valley are retreat house, chapel of Christ the King, OLCARSKA BAJTA, LESENA RIŽA, Podbrežnik chapel and other things. The Logar valley is a starting point for many mountaineering trips into the Savinja alps. The Logar valley was in 1987 proclaimed for a landscape park, because of its many natural beauties. From it, we can journey into neighboring valleys Robanov kot and Matkov kot.
