Parking is available by the church but please be considerate. As there is already a cache in the church grounds the final is offset. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the church or you can drive closer with just a short walk to GZ. There are two stiles (sorry) the first of which also has a 5 bar gate.
I was unable to find out much about St Andrew's church other than the oldest parts of the building date back to the 14th Centuary and it is a Grade II listed building. Most of the surrounding buildings are part of Bradfield College and include the Art Department and some staff housing.
You won't need to stray far from the main path to find any of the clues which is why I haven't include co-ordinates.
- As you walk up the path and past the main church door see if you can see how old Emma was when she died. This will give you AB.
- How many planks of wood are used in the main church door? Multiply this by 3 to give you CD.
- Take a seat and find out when Margery died. Subtract 1810 from the year to give you EFG. (drop the zero)
- Find the headstone of Edward John Wilson. Find the year of his birth to complete the sum (YYYY+2) - 1000. This will give you HIJ.
The final cache can be found at N AB CD.EFG W001 07.HIJ
Cache is a camo'd cliplock box with a few swaps and gift for FTF. No hint to start with as I believe the find should be fairly easy. This may change in the summer months.
“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
