Geocache Description:

Multi-point cache in the Greenbelt

This is a multi-point cache. The coordinates are those of the first redirect.

The redirects use WGS-84 map datum as usual, but are in UTM format. Only the least significant 4 digits are given; the rest are the same as the current location in each case. The 4 digit groups are shown in the same order as on a Garmin GPS, which is to say east first, then north.

All the redirects are fastened to trees at about eye level. As usual due to GPS inaccuracy you may have to check several trees. When you see a fairly big rotten tree trunk on the ground, you have arrived; look under the root end. The cache is hidden completely out of sight, please return it that way.

Note: A tree has fallen over near one of the redirects. This has confused several seekers. The cache is deep in the woods and the tree trunk where it is hidden is old and decayed.

You can expect to walk a few kilometres. Today there were at least a hundred people in the area walking dogs, that's why the cache name! Even if you don't like dogs that much, it's still a nice area (but watch your step).

As of October 21, 2006 the cache is a steel ammo box. Please leave no food items in the cache, and please double bag the log book in intact ziplocs (it would never hurt to bring some new ziplocs when visiting a cache).

Enjoy!
