Introduction for the series - Sarjan kuvaus
[FIN] Rovaniemen aakkossarjan kymmenes osa. Sarja esittelee Rovaniemeä aakkosten kautta. Tämän kätkön FTF-löytäjän toivotaan tekevän aakkosten seuraavaan kirjaimeen liittyvän kätkön noin kahden viikon kuluessa Rovaniemen kunnan alueelle. Mitään pakotettua velvoitetta ei FTF:n kuittaavalle kätköilijälle kuitenkaan ole, vaan kaikki perustuu vapaaehtoisuuteen. Olisi hyvä, jos FTF:n löytäjä ilmoittaisi loggauksessaan että tekeekö seuraavan kirjaimen mukaisen kätkön, tai pyytää jotain toista tekemään kätkön. Kopioithan kuvauksen kätkökuvaukseen.
[ENG] This is the tenth letter in the Rovaniemi alphabet series. The series presents Rovaniemi through single letters. The person who first finds this cache is humbly asked to make the next cache within two weeks in the Rovaniemi area. The cache should be somehow connected to the next letter in the Finnish alphabet. This is voluntary, but if you cannot do it, could you please inform about this in your log or straight away ask someone else to do it. Please copy the introduction to your cache description.
Joulupukin posti letterbox
Tämä letterbox hybrid eli geolodju esittelee Napapiirin Joulupukin kylää ja käväisten myös Joulupukin pääpostin lähettyvillä - loppupisteen sijainti vaihtunut tammikuussa 2016. Tehtävänäsi on ratkaista muutama numero, joita tarvitset kätkön avaamiseen. Lisäksi kätkörasia toimii myös postilaatikkona! Voit jättää postimerkillä ja omalla (tai vaikka kaverisi) nimellä ja osoitteella varustetun postikortin kätköön. Seuraava kätköilijä voi kirjoittaa korttiin terveiset ja postittaa napapiirin postilaatikkoon pudottamalla. Joulupukin postin sisällä on myös laatikko, johon postikortin voi jättää tulevan vuoden joulupostissa jaettavaksi. Postittelu on toki vapaaehtoista, mutta viittaa mukavasti sekä kätköilyperinteen syntymiseen että tämän kätkön tyyppiin ja aiheeseen. Kätkössä on leimasin, mustetyyny, kynä ja logivihko. Kätkö on isokokoinen, ja tarvittaessa toimii GC / TB hotellinakin. Voit etsiä vihjeet ja loppupisteen myös gepsin avulla: lähtöpisteestä suuntaan 174° 0,04654 km, sieltä suuntaan 249° 0,1076 km, sieltä suuntaan 286° 0,07369 km, sieltä suuntaan 034° 0,01571 km, sieltä suuntaan 90° 0,006639 km. Loppupisteen koordinaatit ovat alkupisteestä suuntaan 318° 0,137777 km.
Santa Claus Post Office letterbox
This letterbox presents the Santa Claus Village and Santa Claus' Main Post office. Your task is to find some numbers to find the cache and to be able to open the cache container. The cache container also acts as a letterbox for postcards! You can leave a self-addressed postcard with a stamp to the cache, and the next cacher can write greetings and mail the postcard. If there is a postcard waiting, you can write the greetings. There is a post-box on thee way outside, and inside the post office there is even a post-box from which postcards are mailed so that the receiver gets them for Christmas. Mailing these postcards is of course voluntary, but somehow I felt a letterbox could be a...box for letters :) This is related to the history of caching as well, as well as the content and location of this cache walk. Finding the hints and this cache shouldn't take much longer than 20 minutes. There is a rubber stamp, ink pad and a log book in the cache. You can also be boring and find the cache with a gps following these rules: from the starting point to direction 174° 0,04654 km, then to direction 249° 0,1076 km, then to direction 286° 0,07369 km, then to direction 034° 0,01571 km, then to direction 90° 0,006639 km. The final point is from starting coordinates to direction 318° 0,138 km. So let's get started!

Miten ikävä tapaus, kadotin muistikirjani! Ja salaisen postilaatikkoni! Tai pikemminkin avaimen – siis tuota, lukko ei aukea... äh, parempi olisi, jos kerron koko jutun. Olin pienellä kävelyllä Joulupukin pajakylässä, koeta seurata jälkiäni!
Jätin rekeni parkkipaikalle ja päätin pistäytyä Santamuksessa. Kukaan ei ollut kuitenkaan kotona. Katselin hieman paikan nimeä, ja laskeskelin monesta osasta yksi S-kirjain koostuu. Se oli siis ensimmäinen tärkeä numero. Pyörähdin pikaisesti oikealle jäävän rakennuksen ympäri, ja suuntasin kohti oranssia pöllöä. Juu, luit oikein! Muuten oli melko hiljaista, mutta joululaulut raikasivat ja pari lasta laski liukumäkeä. Käväisin Pukin Kammarin pääsisäänkäynnin edessä, mutta sekin oli lukossa. Siinä katoksen alla ollessani laskin ovien yläpuolella olevien ikkunaruutujen määrän. Paina tämäkin muistiisi! Jatkoin kohti kuuluisaa napapiiriä. Harva taitaa hoksata, että eihän se tässä ole. (No se onkin jo toinen juttu). Olinkin jo melkein postin kohdalla. Tepastelin sen vieressä olevan välimatkakyltin alle. Kauas on pitkä matka, totesin ja merkitsin muistiin Pohjoisnavan etäisyydestä ensimmäisen numeron. Jotkut väittävät että Pukki asuisi siellä! Kaikenlaisia selittäjiä sitä tapaakin. Ennen postille suuntaamista käväsin vielä Napapiirin majalla, joka taisi olla ensimmäinen rakennus täällä. Sehän oli rakennettu vuonna 19X0... mikäs tasaluku se olikaan...Se on kyllä minulla kirjattuna ylös. Lopuksi vielä tutkin hieman napapiiri-kylttiä, joka näkyi majan vierellä olevan kahvilan terassin edustalla. Aika montaa kieltä siinä oli, venäjää, suomea, ruotsia...Montakohan se oli? Talletin tämänkin numeron. Näin keräsin viisi numeroa, toivottavasti sinäkin löysit ne! Kokoa ne yhteen tässä järjestyksessä, ja lisää ne vielä Joulupukin asunipaikan postinumeroon yksi kerrallaan. Unohda kymmenet, esimerkiksi 8+7 = 5, eikä 15. Näin saat uuden 5-numeroisen numerosarjan. Se on lopullinen avain, enkä muista enää noita numeroita, voitko siis auttaa minua? Suunnilleen muistan että kun ne summa mutikassa summaa yhteen ja summan summaa yhteen tulee suunnilleen tai tasan 3. Niin se muistikirja! Sen tallensin toisaalle. Jatka vain napapiiri-kyltin ohi kohti parkkipaikkaa. Älä kuitenkaan mene autolle asti vaan käänny vasemmalle, kohti lentokenttää. Onneksi voit alittaa autoliikenteen! Sitten saattaakin tulla hieman märät paikat. Tästä lähtee reitti mielenkiintoiselle metsäpuistoalueelle, jota myös Santa Claus Forrestiksi sanotaan, ainakin kielitaidottomien Kauniit- ja Rohkeat fanien kirjoittaman kyltin mukaan. Postilaatikko ei ole pitkospuillapäin, vaan siitä hiukan vasemmallekäsin. Sen pitäisi kyllä näkyä kauas. Laitoin positlaatikkoni hyvin kiinni vaijerilla ja toivon, että käsittelet laatikkoa varoen! Hello there, friend!
What a sad day! I lost my notebook! And the secret letterbox! Or actually the key, or the combination...Let me explain. I took a short walk around the Santa Claus Village, try to follow my tracks!
I parked my sledge and headed towards Santamus. No-one was home, but I did mark how the letter S was constructed from some number of individual pieces. This I wrote down to my diary. I went around the building on the right, and headed towards the orange owl. Yup! You heard me! Just head towards the music if you can't see it. In front of the entrance to the Office of the Santa Claus, under the shelter, I counted the small sqaure windows above the two doors. Then I headed towards the so-called Arctic Circle. Little do they know...the circle is not there, but it is rather hard to catch since the earth wobbles, I was told. Anyway, I took a selfie with the webcam and headed down towards the arrows and directions. There I wrote down the first number from the distance to the North Pole. Some even claim Santa lives there! Such fools! I guess they've never heard of Korvatunturi. Then I took a right and saw a small hut, where Eleanor Roosevelt visited once. It was built in 19X0...which decade it was again? hmmm. I did write that down, but this memory of mine...Oh well. Last I peeked at the sign of the Arctic Circle near the terrace of the cafeteria. How many languages did it have once again? I remember counting it with my fingers, but anyway, mark that down, will you. That is 5 numbers you have there now, right! Ok, put them one after the other in the order mentioned here, and then add each to the very special personal post number of Santa Claus himself. In a way that you leave the tens out, e.g if you add 7+8, you get 5, not 15. Got it? Great! That's the final figure you need. If you root sum all numbers it should yield three. That's all. No, wait, the cache! Ok, keep walking back towards the car / starting point and go under the bridge to the other side. There is a small swamp and a path that goes to the Santa Claus Forest, but the cache is a bit left from this path. It should be clearly visible. Your shoes might get wet! I attached the letterbox tightly with a wire, and hope you open the box carefully. Please mail any postcards if there are such! Thanks for helping me out!
