The location for this cache is a relatively newly created public space, known as Homewood Park. In the centre of the park is a large mansion, which in the past has been a family home and part of a now disbanded mental institution. It is now used as a corporate headquarters. The surrounding park is home to various businesses, including an electronic games company.
There is a car park nearby, just off Stonehill Road. Although they have just introduced a car park charge it is FREE for the first three hours, which is plenty of time. Do get a free ticket from the machine first, though!
This cache, a tupperware box, can be found at ground level. It contains various pens and a logbook in which you may leave any messages. There should be plenty of space for small trinkets and other goodies! Please note that in summer there may be some undergrowth to search through. In winter any undergrowth should have died back.
If you visit on a Sunday afternoon and like small steam trains, why not visit the nearby Great Cockrow Railway. Turn right out of the car park, then right at the T-junction and then the next left turn. The railway is a few hundred yards along on the right and has its own car park. Only open on Sunday afternoons April-October.
