The above coordinates are not for the cache, but would be a good place to park.
South Oxfordshire is a local administrative district in the historic county of Oxfordshire. Its rolling hills, extensive woodlands, footpaths, lanes and by-ways make it an ideal area for rambling, cycling and, of course, geocaching.
Notable events in the district include the moving of the old King James College (now Henley College) to Rotherfield Court, Henley in 1928. The Wallingford and Watlington Railway (known locally as the ‘Wallingford Bunk’) was finally closed to passenger traffic in 1959 (although part of the line is happily now in preservation). In 1976, gentlemen were permitted to remove their jackets in the hallowed Stewards’ Enclosure at the Henley Royal Regatta for the first time in the event’s 143 year history.
To find the coordinates for the cache you will first need to hit on the memorable link between the three musical folk pictured in the ‘Image Gallery’ below. Although their faces may not be immediately familiar to younger cachers, they were each quite high Profile in their day.
