Preface
This cache will require a long time from the first stage to the final box and demands a lot of physical effort. After over one week you will gain just one point on your cache counter (apart from a few caches along the way). If that does not reflect your understanding of geocaching, feel free to ignore the cache and go for something quicker.
This description is only intended as a framework for the cache. The tour itself needs a lot more additional preparation and planning than a cache listing can offer. There are several books, maps and websites including GPS tracks about the GR221 that we refer to (for example here).
WARNING: Please note that the Majorcan mountains - despite their altitude of under 1500m - are an alpine environment with all its dangers like rockfall, sudden and unexpected changes of the weather, rough paths, remoteness...
Take at least a warm and rain/wind proof jacket, enough water, sun protection and proper navigation (map, guide book, GPS, gpx track, ...) and communication systems with you. Don't go alone and let a third person know where you go and when you will return.
The cache
The GR221 traverses the Serra de Tramuntana from South to North. Typically the track is split into 8 day's marches: Puerto D'Andratx - Sant Elm (as long as La Trapa is still closed) - Estellencs - Esporles - Deià - Sóller - Tossals Verds (Refugio is currently closed due to maintenance work) - Lluc - Pollença.
Each day trip includes at least one stage of the cache. There are always only questions to answer. A box is only hidden at the final. Since the focus of the cache is on the landscape and the hike itself, the tasks are always next to the path and easy to answer. It might also be possible to collect the information of the 10 stages within a hiking group of muggles without revealing the secret of your satelite-based hobby ;-)

Observaciones preliminares
Este caché requerirá mucho tiempo y gran esfuerzo físico desde su primera etapa hasta el contenedor final. Después de más de una semana sólo obtendrás un caché en tu cuenta (aparte de algunos cachés a lo largo del camino). Si esto no refleja tú manera de entender el Geocaching, eres libre de ignorar este caché.
Esta descripción sirve de encuadre para resolver el caché. El tour en sí, necesita mucha preparación y planificación adicional de la que el listing ofrece. Hay varios libros, mapas y páginas web incluyendo rutas de GPS sobre la GR221 que puedes consultar (por ejemplo aquí).
ADVERTENCIA: Ten en cuenta que las montañas mallorquinas – a pesar de su altitud por debajo de 1500m. – son un entorno alpino con sus riesgos, como caída de rocas, repentinos e inesperados cambios climáticos, caminos difíciles, el aislamiento…
Lleva al menos un abrigo cálido a prueba de lluvia / viento, suficiente agua, protección solar y navegación adecuada (mapa, guías, GPS, rutas gpx,…), y un sistema de comunicación. No vayas solo y que una tercera persona sepa dónde vas y cuando vas a volver.
El cache
La GR221 atraviesa la Serra de Tramuntana de Sur a Norte. Normalmente, la ruta se divide en 8 etapas diarias: Puerto D'Andratx - Sant Elm (as long as La Trapa is still closed) - Estellencs - Esporles - Deià - Sóller - Tossals Verds - Lluc - Pollença.
Cada ruta diaria incluye al menos una etapa del caché (preguntas a responder). Sólo la estación final contiene una caja. El enfoque de este caché se establece en el paisaje y el senderismo en sí, las estaciones siempre se encuentran cerca del camino y son fáciles de resolver. Incluso es posible recoger la información de las 10 etapas con un grupo de senderistas “muggles” sin revelar el secreto de tu afición por los satélites ;-)

Vorbemerkung
Dieser Multi erfordert eine Menge Zeit und körperliche Anstrengung, um von der ersten Station bis zum Finale zu kommen und nach über einer Woche wird sich Euer Cache-Zähler nur um einen Punkt erhöhen (abgesehen von ein paar Caches am Wegesrand). Wenn das nicht Eurem Verständins von Geocaching entspricht, solltest Ihr Euch nach einem weniger aufwändigen Cache umsehen und die Serra de Tramuntana Challenge ignorieren.
Die Cachebeschreibung enthält lediglich die Informationen, die für das Finden der Stationen und des Finales nötig sind. Die Tour ansich braucht wesentlich mehr und aufwändigere Vorbreitung und Planung, als es ein Cache-Listing bieten kann. Dazu verweisen wir auf entsprechende Bücher, Karten und Webseiten inkl. GPS-Tracks (zum Beispiel www.alpenquerung.info).
WARNUNG: Bitte seid Euch darüber bewusst, dass Ihr Euch - trotz der relativ geringen Höhe von unter 1500m - in einer alpinen Umgebung bewegt und damit Gefahren wie beispielsweise Steinschlag, plötzliche und unerwartete Wetterumschwünge, anspruchsvolle Wege und Abgeschiedenheit verbunden sind.
Nehmt mindestens eine warme, wind- und regendichte Jacke, ausreichend Trinkwasser, Sonnenschutz, angemessene Navigationsmittel (Karte, Wanderführer, GPS mit GPX-Track, ...) sowie ein Kommunikationsmittel mit. Geht nicht alleine und infomiert jemand darüber, wohin Ihr geht und wann Ihr zurück sein wollt.
Der Cache
Der GR221 durchzieht die Serra de Tramuntana von Süden nach Norden. Gewöhlich wird die Route in 8 Tagesetappen unterteilt: Puerto D'Andratx - Sant Elm (solange La Trapa nicht geöffnet ist) - Estellencs - Esporles - Deià - Sóller - Tossals Verds (Hütte derzeit wegen Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen) - Lluc - Pollença.
Jede Tagesetappe enthält mindestens eine Station des Multis, an denen immer nur Fragen beantwortet werden müssen. Eine Dose gibt es lediglich am Finale. Da das Augenmerk des Caches auf der Landschaft und der Wanderung liegt, sind die Aufgaben bewusst einfach gehalten und immer vom Weg aus zu erreichen. Wenn Ihr Euch geschickt anstellt, sind die 10 Stationen vielleicht sogar innerhalb einer Muggle-Wandergruppe zu lösen, ohne dass Ihr Euer geheimes Hobby offenbaren müsst ;-)

Remarques préliminaires
Cette cache exigera beaucoup de temps et un grand effort physique pour arriver à sa finale. Après une semaine tu n’ajouteras qu’une seule cache de plus à ton compteur (à part quelques caches le long du chemin). Abstient-toi si cela ne correspond pas à ta vision du géocaching.
Cette description ne sert que d’encadrement pour la cache. La randonnée elle même nécessite bien sûr d’amples préparations et un planning minutieux que ce listing ne peut offrir. Utilise les livres, cartes et pages web au sujet du GR221 (par exemple ici).
MISE EN GARDE: L'épreuve se situe dans un cadre alpin – même si l’altitude ne dépasse pas les 1500 m – avec tout les risques connus comme chute de pierres, changement de météo brusque et inattendu, parcours exigeant et l‘isolement...
Emporte au moins une veste chaude et imperméable, largement à boire et du ravitaillement, protection solaire, un moyen de navigation conforme (carte, guide, GPS, gpx track, ...) et un moyen de communication. Ne t'y aventure pas tout seul et informe des tiers de ton but et l’heure de ton retour.
La cache
Le GR221 traverse la Serra de Tramuntana du sud au nord. D’habitude, le parcours se scinde en 8 étapes journalières: Puerto D'Andratx - Sant Elm (tant que La Trapas est fermé) - Estellence - Esporles - Deia - Soller - Tossals Verds (Le refuge est fermé pour causes de rénovation) - Lluc - Pollença.
Chaque étape contient au moins une station de la cache (question à répondre). Uniquement la station finale contient une boite. L’accent de cette cache est mis au paysage et à la randonnée elle même. Donc les stations sont placées près du sentier et les questions faciles à répondre. Tu peux même collectionner les 10 indices au sein d’un groupe de randonneurs sans dévoiler le secret de ton activité ;-)
