Uma igreja também merecedora de uma cache sem dúvida...
Pêra, antes de se tornar freguesia, estava integrada em Alcantarilha e, já em 1683, existia uma pequena ermida dedicada ao Divino Espírito Santo. Criada a nova freguesia de Pêra, a ermida deu lugar à igreja paroquial. Com o abalo do terramoto de 1755, foi em grande parte destruída erguendo-se dos escombros a nova Igreja Matriz. Ainda hoje conserva o lugar da antiga ermida, a actual sacristia, com um magnífico retábulo da época. Concluída em 1805, conjuga a riqueza interior com a simplicidade do exterior, de características neoclássicas. Destaque para a capela-mor, revestida de azulejos setecentistas, desde a abóbada de canhão até à base das paredes laterais, encaminhando o olhar para o retábulo do séc. XVIII. Ao longo do corpo do templo, destacam-se as capelas colaterais e laterais, também do séc. XVIII.
