Depending on the time of day it can be a very high muggle area or almost no muggles at all.

Set in the beautiful Forest of Marston Vale. The Vale is one of 12 Community Forests in England. Community Forests were set up around towns and cities in the early 1990s, to improve land affected by industrial use in the past. The Forest of Marston Vale covers 61 square miles of Bedfordshire between Ampthill, Milton Keynes and Bedford

Spring time brings life to Willington with the arrival of summer migrants, many of which stay to breed in the diversity of habitats that the area provides. In April, look for Yellow wagtails around the sheep fields south east of the gravel pit lakes which can be accessed from the end of the track past the Dovecote and nursery at Church End and from the R51 Sustrans cycle path that runs between Sandy and Bedford. Autumn and winter can also provide important numbers of wintering duck such as Wigeon and Pochard which frequent the lakes that can be viewed from the cycle tracks that bisect and encircle the lakes. To the South of the parish is Sheerhatch Wood which although private, can be enjoyed from the footpath that runs from the end of Wood Lane towards the transmitter aerial and also along the minor road that runs between Cople and Moggerhanger villages. The wood can be good for Tawny Owls, Marsh Tit and Nuthatch, not readily seen in other parts of the village. Also look out for the elusive Lesser-spotted Woodpeckers that are seen most years from the roadside.
