The building nearby used to be a part of the West Point Pepperell mill. It was the Griftex Chemical and Textile building. After some cleaning out and refurbishing the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative moved into the building in July of 2013. We are part of a state department initiative and an outreach program through Auburn University. See www.amsti.org for more information on what we do.
