Tajos nemaz ne tik senajos laikos, kad komerciālie kalni ar mākslīgo sniegu un pacēlājiem bija vēl reta eksotika, kad ziemas bija sniegotākas, un kad visu vecumu ļautiņi mācēja tvert prieku no šļūkšanas pa sniegotu kalnu uz jebkāda slidena priekšmeta, Garkalnes Bļoda bija viens no Rīgas apkārtnes ziemas sporta veidu baudīšanas centriem. Skaistākajās ziemas brīvdienās uz ceļa gar Bļodu pat bija problēmas ar automašīnas novietošanu.
Mūsdienās Bļodas apmeklētība ir nedaudz kritusies, bet tā joprojām ir lieliska vieta, kur pavadīt pāris stundas jaukā sniegotā ziemas dienā.
Vasarā Bļoda ir populāra vieta izbraucieniem ar kvadra- un motocikliem, kā arī vienkārši laiskai koku galotņu vērošanai.
Slēpnis: Slēpnis ir novietots vienā no augstākajām Bļodas vietām ar skatu pār ieplaku. Rēķinieties ar vismaz 300m gājienu līdz slēpnim.

Not really that long ago, when commercial winter resorts with artificial snow and lifts were rare exotic places in Latvia, when winters had more snow and when people of all ages could enjoy sliding down a snowy hill on anything that slides, Garkalne Bowl was one of main centers of enjoying winter fun near Riga. In nicest winter days there were even problems with parking on the adjacent road.
Nowadays Bowl's popularity has slightly decreased, but is still is a wonderful place to spend a few hours in a nice snowy winter day.
In summers Bowl is a popular place for a ride with a kvadro- or motorcycles, or simply idly enjoying the view over the treetops
Cache: Cache is located on one of the highest places along Bowl overlooking the valley. Take into account that there is at least 300m walk to get to the cache.
