CCC History Mystery Mystery Cache

A puzzle cache located at the parking area for the Fall River/Freetown State Forest. You're going to have to look at both a statue with plaque and informational sign, which can both be found at the given coordinates, in order to get the information needed to find this cache, although it may be possible to could locate the information needed beforehand through an Internet search.

This interesting little spot used to be home to a YBLee cache a few years ago. Decided to hide a new cache here to bring either old or new folks to the area and make it a quick offset cache for those who need a puzzle fix or enjoy reading about history.

At GZ you will see two objects of importance: a statue with a plaque and an informational sign located behind the statue. Any numbers taken from the statue and plaque will be used to calculate the NORTH part of the coordinates, and information from the sign will be used to calculate the WEST part of the coordinates. 

The plaque on the statue was built to honor the accomplishments of the young men who served in the Civilian Conservation Corps from the years 193A  to 19BC. In addition, the statue was unveiled on National Public Lands Day on September DE, 2002. 

The sign located behind the statue was erected in 19FG as part of the the Centennial celebration of Massachusetts State Forests and Parks. On this sign you will read that at its peak in Massachusetts, the CCC had a total of HJ camps that enrolled 10,000 men.

West 071 (H-5) (G-6). (H-1) (J+1) (F-6)
