Geocache Description:

Celestial Bar In The Dark 6 Mae'r lladd-dy (try translating the name)

This time we will be doing pole walking over metre deep water.

Welcome to Mae'r lladd-dy a Mine which genuinely earned it's nickname, when a working Mine.

We will be facing steep slopes, and Pole walks over 1m of water

Aid will be provided during the Pole Walks, from a brave volunteer, stood in the freezing cold water.

And now for the nitty details.

Please Note!!!!

We are visiting what is possibly the Largest Slate Mine in Wales. There are numerous side routes, all of which have a extreme risk of serious injury to them!As such there will be a Group Leader, with Guides under him, and a Rear Leader.

By Attending and entering the Mine with the Group, you agree to follow all instructions given to you by the Group Leader, the Guides under him, or the Rear Leader!

You also agree to abide by the Celestial Bar In the Dark Event Attendance Guidelines. Which will be posted separately

Difficulty well that is genuine as well, because the Coordinates take you to the parking at Tanygrisiau. All cars will be parked here, the reasoning will become clear in a minute.we all need to be at the Meeting Point for 09:00 hrs on the 20th September 2014 [that is 9am for those not used to the 24 hour clock system]. At the meeting point, we will arrange for another 3 cars along with mine, to act as shuttle buses, to our FUP-Form Up Point. This is due to the fact, the the FUP, is a very popular parking point for Walkers, so parking spaces are limited.Because of this point, to insure that the only the 4 Shuttle cars, access the FUP, the location will not be revealed, except to the other 3 drivers. The Shuttle will be run, exactly the same to get everyone back toTanygrisiau . With everyone asked to sign a log in/out sheet. To insure that no one is left behind in either direction.

Once everyone is at the FUP, which will hopefully be no later than 10:00 hrs. Charon the Guide to Tartarus, will take us to the entrance to the underworld. Here everyone entering, will again Log In, this is so we know who has gone in and who has come out. So that we can leave Mae'r lladd-dy, behind us, knowing we have not left any Person behind.

Once signed in, Charon will lead us in, on our quest into Mae'r lladd-dy. Once we have completed our Quest, Charon, will safely lead us out of Mae'r lladd-dy, and back into daylight.

Our Target finish time will be 16:00-4pm

Please Note, Dogs are welcome to attend, however it must be understood, that someone must remain outside of Mae'r lladd-dy with them. As the Underworld is not suitable for Geocannines.

The same with very young children and babies

As usual, all who attend, be that entering Mae'r lladd-dy, or staying out of the Underworld, will Receive a Celestial Bar

Once again to make it clear, we all meet at the posted Coordinates, at 09:00 hrs on the 20-9-2014.

After Everyone has logged In. Everyone will then be shuttled to a undisclosed Form Up Point. From which we will make our way toMae'r lladd-dy . Where once again, those descending into the Underworld will log In, we will then enter in to the Darkness.

On returning to the surface, everyone, will Log Out of Mae'r lladd-dy. We will then make our way back to the FUP, and everyone on Signing out, will be shuttled back to Tanygrisiau.

The whole event will take a number of hours to complete!

As CBITD events, are starting to access Controlled Access locations. The CBITD Event Team have put together a CBITD Event Attendance Guidelines, which will be made available to all attendees

Please Note! The minimum equipment needed for the Mine Exploration will be
