Geocache Description:

This is a magnetic nano cache located at the Church of St Paul , and is part of the church micro series started by sadexploration, please remember to bring a pen/pencil to sign the log

The cache is planted with kind permission of Rev David Chadwick, who is a running rival to myself at Sunderland Parkrun. He knows where the cache is and may assist anyone who is struggling please say hello if you see him.

This fine parish church was completed in 1873 to replace a small chapel of ease near the Green that could no longer meet the demands of the growing congregation. It is built in local limestone with sandstone dressings.

I have had a full tour of the church and took some photos of the bells and clock workings which i've posted.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.

There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
