St Thomas Church
St Thomas Becket Chapel, (now roofless) 14th Century building is a single storey rectangular plan with porch south of west end, over crypt, with a five-bay buttressed south wall with porch on the left. The porch has a segmental-arched opening at the front and similar inner doorway; with an entrance up steps into left-hand side. There are pointed-arched south windows with hoodmoulds and four small crypt windows with flat heads and relieving arches. The North wall has two pointed windows similar to south windows, all grooved for glazing. The East wall has large three-light late Decorated windows with unusual tracery which is transitional towards Perpendicular. The east window with it's moulded arch carried on octagonal nook shafts; sedilia to south wall of east end with three cinquefoil arches within pointed hoodmoulds under a square hoodmould; ogee-headed cinquefoil aumbry on its left. There are many carved fragments lying about including probable piscina; vaulted crypt. A rare 14th Century building and a rarity for Cornwall

N50 28.ADB and W 004 43.DCE. In respect of the horizontal slate memorial plaque to Reg & Olave COUCH (The CO's Uncle & Auntie). This is a real sad story, The couple were inseparable throughout their life, and as she got older Olave (Canadian spelling - Not Olive) became mentally unwell and was put into St Lawrence Hospital to convalesce, Reginald became worried about her and died through loneliness and worry, and she died within two weeks as a result of being heartbroken over his death.
